Kabupaten Halmahera Selatan
South Halmahera Regency is one of the districts in North Maluku province, Indonesia. The district capital is located in Labuha City. This district has an area of 8,779.32 km² and has a population of 251,299 people (2020). South Halmahera Regency is the result of the division of North Maluku Regency or currently West Halmahera Regency based on Law No. 1 of 2003 concerning the division of the North Maluku Regency. Halmahera Selatan Regency at the beginning of its formation had 9 districts but now has 30 sub-districts.
